These classic paleo margaritas boast all of your favorite margarita flavors without unnecessary sugar and complicated ingredients. Easy, quick, and refreshing…all the things a margarita should be.
It’s no secret that I LOVE, I mean really love, fun and interesting margaritas but for those nights where the fridge is bare and I just want a classic margarita this is my go to recipe. The recipe that tastes like my favorite Mexican restaurant but without the questionable sweet and sour mix and the copious amounts of sugar that will leave me anxious for days.
This is also the base for most of my margarita concoctions, and trust me, I have plenty of them. I think there’s about 14 margarita recipes on WS at the time of this post. What can I say, tequila is my spirit of choice. It’s clean, refreshing, and so, so versatile.
Anyways you just need a few simple staples:
- 100% agave tequila
- lime juice
- honey simple syrup
That’s it! Well, plus some ice and salt.
So the honey simple syrup is just equal parts honey mixed with hot water to help it dissolve and not clump in the cocktail. Easy enough. I simply wet the rim of a glass with a lime wedge, dredge through some salt, the pour in the tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup. And drink! Cheers 🙂
