This bacon jalapeno deviled eggs recipe is seriously the easiest and it’s basically like regular spicy deviled eggs with bacon and jalapeno added! I don’t know about you but I get tired of the same old plain apps after a while. It’s good to shake things up! I’ve made these jalapeno popper deviled eggs for years and they’re always a crowd pleaser.
How To Make Jalapeno Deviled Eggs
Whether you are an old pro that knows how to make deviled eggs or this is your very first time, they are so easy to make!
To get started, boil the eggs:
- Place the eggs in a large pot and cover with cold water, about an inch above the tops of the eggs.
- Bring to a boil then remove from heat.
- Add the lid and allow the eggs to rest and finish cooking in the boiling water for around ten minutes.
- Frain off the water and peel the eggs.
Now you are ready to cut the eggs in half. Remove the yolk and set it aside in a bowl. Add mayonnaise, mustard, minced bacon, and minced jalapeno to the yolks and stir. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
PRO TIP: If you don’t want the spicy deviled eggs to be overly hot, remove the seeds from the jalapenos before adding to the mixture. The seeds contain most of the heat!
Top with more crumbled bacon and thinly sliced jalapenos. It makes for a prettier presentation, a pop of flavor, and people aren’t surprised when they take a bite and they’re spicy!
Variations For Jalapeno Popper Deviled Eggs
I love the creaminess of traditional deviled eggs and the heat from the jalapeno deviled eggs, but sometimes you want to try something new. Here are a few ideas to spark your imagination:
- Avocado – Add some creamy avocado to the egg mixture, and you will be pleased with the flavor. Avocado pairs nicely with the jalapenos and bacon too.
- Spicy Mustard – Increase the heat a little more if you like things hot! Spicy mustard is a terrific combination with the eggs, bacon, and jalapenos. Just make sure to use whole grain.
- Chives – The flavor that the chives create in this dish is terrific! I like to add chives to lots of recipes because they are so good.
- Horseradish – Try my friend, Lindsay’s, healthy deviled eggs if you would rather omit the jalapenos. Horseradish is one of the main ingredients!
- Smoked Paprika – I love adding smoked paprika to recipes because the smokiness coupled with sweetness is always a welcomed flavor in my book.
- Taco Seasoning – You can sprinkle a bit on top!

Yes, this bacon jalapeno deviled eggs recipe is full of healthy nutrients:

Can I Make Spicy Deviled Eggs For A Crowd?

Next time you are hosting an event, consider making the best spicy deviled eggs! They are perfect for brunches, birthdays, backyard barbecues, and even reunions. Deviled eggs with fresh jalapeno would be a hit at just about any kind of party.
Can You Make This Bacon Jalapeno Deviled Eggs Recipe Ahead?
Yes, you can make this bacon jalapeno deviled eggs recipe ahead. Follow the instructions as directed and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
You don’t want to make the jalapeno deviled eggs too far in advance, because they may become watery and slimy.
Can You Freeze Bacon Jalapeno Deviled Eggs?
No, you can’t freeze this jalapeno deviled eggs appetizer recipe. Cooked eggs do not age well in the freezer and will become tough and rubbery.
If you are unable to finish the prepared bacon and jalapeno deviled eggs within a couple of days, you should toss them.
TIP: You can freeze the yolk mixture and use at a later date, just not the egg white.

The word deviled does not phase me 😉 but I might be a little scared of sliced jalapenos! LOL But omg the bacon would have me reaching for it all the same. These look wonderful.

My spouse also has the metabolism of a 12 yr old boy–last night I planned a cheese plate, warm bread, and salad for dinner. I had the cheese plate done, or so I thought, while the bread was baking. He came in the kitchen and snacked on it, eating probably close to half of the cheese while we chatted!
Then I refreshed the plate and brought it out for dinner and he asked “are we only having cheese for dinner”? The kids and I just chowed down.
These angel eggs look like a devilish addition to an Easter line up!
