Tequila Berry Smash - a delicious cocktail made healthier with honey simple syrup and 100% agave tequila

For the Chef sponsored post

How gorgeous is this cocktail?! I’m head over heals in love with the color in this Tequila Berry Smash! This is perfect for all those late summer berries and is quick and painless to throw together making it perfect for summer get togethers, an accompaniment to s’mores by the fire, or simply sipping all night long right into fall.

Basically this is a margarita but since I chose not to strain those delicious berry bits out of the cocktail before serving we’re calling it a smash. I don’t know about you but I love munching on those leftover berries in the bottom of a cocktail that’s soaked up some of the tequila and lime. Too delicious!

You can make this all in one glass/jar or use a cocktail shaker. I use a shaker since it’s a little difficult to stir with the berries, that way the tequila + lime + honey mixture gets all nice and cozy together before straining over the berries + ice.

If you’re alcohol free, try making your own non-alcoholic gin and tonic.

Cheers!
